Japanese juice

There must be a translation problem here. Maybe this is bottled water for your sweaty pet? That, or the Japanese have far worse taste than I thought. So much for my plan to stave off disease by drinking bottled water when overseas.

OK, tell you what, this is not for you, but for your pets.

Japanese soft drinks change at an alarming rate, with new beverages appearing on a disturbingly regular basis. An especially irritating practice when one comes across a drink that is particularly pleasant - only to find it gone the following week.

Yet as far as so-called sports drinks are concerned, the old stalwarts of Aquarius and the perennially popular Pocari Sweat are thirst-quenching constants.

This longevity then is perhaps what prompted one drinks maker to market a similar product for pooches, allowing dogs that have being doing a bit of exercise to relax and recharge.

Japanese pets with a penchant for workouts are fairly well catered for, with the likes of Pet Sweat helping them to relax and rehydrate.

Yet all work and no play makes Patch a dull pooch, so thankfully there are alternatives for the mellower mongrel. Like lolling around the house supping lager for example.

And for any animal after a change now and again, there’s also the option of the equally merry sounding Happy Tail Ale. A drink that 9 out of 10 dogs prefer.
